We are now looking for a development leader for an ESF project at the Employment Administration in Borås City - an administration characterized by innovation and collaboration.

The Employment Administration organizes socially important activities and works purposefully to ensure that as many Borås residents as possible achieve self-sufficiency. The administration has about 240 employees and is responsible for and finances approximately 350 labor market political positions. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of Borås City's continued development in the labor market area.

The current ESF project targets young adults (18-29 years) in the neighborhoods of Norrby and Hässleholmen/Hulta in Borås, aiming to reduce economic vulnerability. These areas have higher unemployment and lower education levels than the average in Borås, and the project's goal is to facilitate young adults' access to support in approaching the labor market and education. At the same time, the project aims to strengthen trust between individuals and society by offering support in the local environment. The work is based on collaboration with the target group and various community actors.

The employer has planned to organize the project within the Unit for Youth, where summer activities, the municipal activity responsibility, and community orientation are already part of the operations. The project is planned to start on August 1, 2025, and the employment is contingent on the employer being granted project funding.

Development Leader for ESF Project

Job Responsibilities

As the development leader for the ESF project "Economic Vulnerability Young Adults," you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the project's activities as well as following up and developing them. You will convene project leaders, project staff, and a reference group for operational meetings. Furthermore, it is part of your role to disseminate the project's concept to stakeholders and act as a link between actors who meet the target group, including in outreach work. You will be present at arenas we call Future Squares, where the target group gathers, and offer guidance on labor market and community resources. The work also includes monitoring the external environment and exchanging experiences with other municipalities that conduct similar activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree and solid experience working with young adults who are outside of work and education. You have a very good understanding of the target group and good knowledge of the resources and support measures available. Furthermore, you have experience in developing and evaluating methods and activities related to young adults.

It is an advantage if you have a degree in social work and training in Supported Education, Supported Employment, ACT group leader training, and MI (Motivational Interviewing).

To succeed in this role, you are relationship-building and individualized in your approach and have an easy time collaborating with various actors. You are structured and used to working independently as well as in teams. You also have the ability to drive processes forward, are flexible, and have a solution-oriented approach. You possess knowledge and competence to identify and understand challenges at the individual and group level in relation to societal structures and external factors. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
